Running the central region, which includes two of Jefferson’s three largest hospitals, will be Dixie James. He will continue to manage the Jersey facilities, which make up the East Region, on an interim basis. Brian Sweeney, who runs Jefferson’s New Jersey hospitals, will oversee the north region. Pandemic relief aid from the government spared it from experiencing losses in all three. But like other healthcare systems, it has experienced financial difficulties, incurring losses in two of the last three years. It also owns the Medicaid and Medicare insurer Health Partners Plans and made $7.9 billion in revenue in the 2021-2022 fiscal year, as of June 30. The new structure also comes with layoffs, mostly among executives, with two notable ones being Richard J.
